Who we work with

Group of children of diverse ethnicities smiling and laughing together outdoors.

I work with early years and primary school-aged children, mainly ages 3 to 11. I support a range of speech, language, and communication needs with particular specialty in:

  • speech sound disorders

  • gestalt language processing

  • early language development

I focus on understanding each child as an individual and tailoring support to their specific strengths, needs and interests.

Sessions should be fun and engaging, not something children have to endure.

My approach to therapy is child-led, playful, and engaging. I want sessions to feel positive and enjoyable, not like something a child has to endure. While therapy is always purposeful and evidence-based, I don’t believe it should feel rigid or one-size-fits-all.

Every child is different, and I adapt my approach accordingly. What works well for one child may not work for another, so sessions are always shaped around each unique individual.

I place a strong emphasis on collaborative working. Children make the most progress when the adults around them are supported to use the same strategies and approaches across environments.

Working Collaboratively

Therapy sessions are primarily delivered in school, which helps reduce pressure on families and minimises disruption to a child’s routine. Working in school also allows staff to see strategies in action and build confidence in supporting the child day to day.
Online therapy is also available where this is appropriate for the child and their needs.

Parents receive regular updates following sessions, with clear explanations of what has been worked on and how progress is being supported. Where appropriate, I share practical ideas that can be used at home, always designed to fit into family life rather than add stress or unrealistic expectations.

My aim is to support children while also making things feel clearer and more manageable for parents and schools.
